Sometimes, something just has to get done. That is what missions are for! Perhaps something has been lost and needs to be found. Perhaps there are some ingredients that need to be retrieved. Whatever it is, it's a mission, and you can get paid for it, so make sure to keep yourself available!
In order to start a mission, simply grab the mission application and put it up in the Mission Sign-Up board. Simply state everything required, such as people needed, what the mission is, what threats (if any) will be encountered. Then wait for people to sign up and once it's full, the mission starter will be the one to put up the mission in the appropriate area, then put a link to said mission in the thread for your participants to post in. Once the mission is done, simply say it is finished in your thread, staff will get to it, hand out rewards and then move it to the mission archive. Easy. However, there are a few things to know.
Some ingredients can only be found in missions. Missions are the only way to acquire data discs for example. It's also worth noting that when you sign up to a mission, have your character sign up to it in an IC manner. That's all you need from this, read below for the other guidelines and rules regarding mission.
There is also the manner of difficulties; to sum that up real quick.
Easy - For newly accepted characters. Enemies have 50 point for allocation.
Medium - For characters who have found their footing; maybe gotten a few weapons and an ability or two. Enemies have 100 point for allocation.
Hard - For veteran characters who have decent weapons and a few abilities and medi-gel to help them. Enemies have 150 point for allocation.
Master - For powerful characters who usually have a powerful arsenal of equipment and abilities. Enemies have 200 point for allocation. (REQUIRES STAFF PERMISSION TO START)
Lunatic - For endgame characters who have basically reached the ceiling and are somehow at their max. Enemies have 250 point for allocation. (REQUIRES STAFF PERMISSION TO START)
We are watching the Missions - The staff is likely aware of the mission and is watching. PM anyway though. We watch mainly to watch other players. Be realistic if the mission has fights, you probably won't make it through unharmed unless you're not fighting or something. If a staff member sees someone constantly dodging when they couldn't, they might get smacked and lose a set amount of health.
When the mission is over, post in the closed sign up thread - We'll hand out rewards and move the mission to the Graveyard.
You need at least one other person - While you can have up to five people, at least two people (yourself included) is required.
You can only be in three missions at a time - You can have other characters in other missions, but a character can only be in three missions at a time.
Two fighting missions only - If however, said quest has fighting, you can only be in two missions at a time.
Staff hands out the rewards - At the end of the quest we hand out randomized awards.
Rewards are based on difficulty - The harder the quest, the better the rewards handed out by staff. The credit prizes are 50 for Easy, 100 for Medium, 200 for Hard, 350 for Master, 500 for Lunatic.
All medium missions and beyond have enemies. - Simple enough.
Newbie characters making and/or joining Master & Lunatic missions is considered suicidal. - You're taking your life into your own hands and unlike in other difficulties; if your HP hits 0, you're dead, not KO'd.
Quests must be at least 2 pages long - In order to qualify for a reward, the quest thread must hit page 2.
Exceptions can be made under certain circumstances - In some cases, there are things beyond your control. For example, if your character is restricted to an area by means beyond your control, and no one else is with you, it is possible to do a mission on your own.[/font][/ul][/div][/blockquote]
