On Mass Effect, you're gonna need stuff. You get that stuff here. Weapons, Equipment, Medi-Gel, you get all of that stuff from this thread. When you buy something, simply make your own thread for your purchases. USE THAT ONE THREAD FOR ALL OF YOUR PURCHASES FOR ALL OF YOUR CHARACTERS.
Weapons however, are unique in that they are disallowed in most civilized areas. The reason for this should be obvious; people running around with Assault Rifles tend to result in violent conflicts. It's just a countermeasure to keep violent crime from going all over the place. While you don't have to follow this rule per se, if you run around say, the Citadel with a full arsenal, expect to be piled by C-Sec. However, you can smuggle in pistols and a small melee weapon if you get something like a knife.

Assault Rifles are usually the preferred weapon for anyone wanting to use guns. Effective at any range, the Assault Rifle has a stable base of power, good for aiming, and fairly easy to carry around with stable prices. As a result, while it's not the strongest, it has no real drawbacks either.

Shotguns are known for being extremely powerful. Along with Sniper Rifles, Shotguns have the highest amount of firepower possible. At close range, it's highly effective in close quarters and doesn't have the worry of aiming, so long as the opponent is close. Its drawback is that unless the target is close by, the Shotgun is almost guaranteed to miss.

Sniper Rifles are the best friend for someone who likes to stay out of the action. With a powerful scope and high powered shots, the Sniper Rifle allows the wielder to just hang back and freely take shots at opponents. However, much like the Shotgun, it's pricy. Due to its enormous size, it is extremely clunky, and extremely hard to hit with at close to medium range.

Pistols are extremely useful little firearms. Cheap and small, it's easy to carry around as well. It doesn't have nearly the firepower any other firearms do, but they are unique in that unlike any other form of Weaponry barring Omni-Tools and Biotic-Amps, Pistols are the only weapons that can be smuggled in to any establishment.

Sometimes the best thing you got in a scenario is something to just give someone a good old fashion smack. Melee weapons are the ideal weapon needed if you really want to beat someone's face in. They can be fully customized when ordered. Want a sword? Okay. Hammer? cool. Spear? Can do. However, as some places will ask you to leave your weapons, something small like a knife might be ideal to smuggle in.

Biotic-Amplifiers, or just Bio-Amps, are vital to any Biotic. They're what allows them to actually use their biotic abilities. No Bio-Amp, no powers. Because of this (and the difficulty in removing them), they are not removed when leaving weapons behind.

Omni-Tools are the do all tool indeed. They can hack, they can run programs, they can even turn into any kind of weapon if the need arises. Blades, Bows, Gauntlets, whatever. They are expensive though, and you need them in order for any Technological Abilities to work. However, due to their utility, you are allowed to freely take them with you inside any location. Attacks made with the Omni-Tool use the STR stat.

Spectres only. It is extremely expensive. However, due to being Spectres, they can freely take those weapons anywhere regardless of protocol, thanks to the Spectre's authority.

Medi-Gel, the greatest gift you could have in time of need. It heals your HP when you're down, and so long as you got some Medi-Gel on you, you can keep on fighting. Using the Medi-Gel doesn't immediately remove it. It only reduces the amount that it heals. The Medi-Gel is only gone once all healable HP is gone. So if you heal 25 HP with it, you still have 5 HP of Medi-Gel left before it vanishes. That being said; YOU CAN ONLY HAVE A MAX OF THREE MEDI-GEL IN ANY THREAD AT ANY GIVEN TIME, EVEN IF YOU BUY MORE THAN THREE.
